CreativFestival 2011 LIVE Costume Design Challenge & Make n' Takes

Westcott Brand® sponsored a live costume design challenge on stage at CreativFestival 2011. This live crafting event was hosted by the fabulous Wendy Russell of the TV show She’s Crafty! Contestants created costumes on mannequins in a competition with a grand prize of $1000 cash and a gift basket of Westcott Brand® and Duck® Brand products valued at $1000! 

Materials for the challenge were generously provided by event supporters: Floracraft Make it Fun™, Velcro® Brand Fasteners, Duck Tape® Brand Duct Tape, Blumenthal Lansing, The Beadery and Ad tech™. The competition was judged by a panel of creative celebrities including Wendy Russell, Modern Surrealist Marisa Pawelko, William C. G. Hodge, Michael Sellick of the Crochet Crowd, Linda MacPhee!

Westcott Brand® also sponsored a very fun Make n' Take station at the event! Guests enjoyed creating complimentary projects designed by Modern Surrealist Marisa Pawelko, with Westcott Brand NON-STICK Scissors, including: Pouches, Rosettes, Bracelets and Jewelry with rolled Duck Tape Beads!

Join us for a LIVE Costume Design Challenge at CreativFest!

Think you have what it takes to create an awesome costume on the fly on stage in front of a LIVE audience? If so, then you need to sign up for the Westcott Brand and Shurtech Duck Tape®! sponsored LIVE Costume Contest at CreativFest! This event is going to be so much fun! The challenge will be hosted by popular TV personality Wendy Russell of the show She’s Crafty! Make a costume on stage yourself or cheer on pre-selected contestants with only 30 minutes to create a fabulous, wacky costume using their Westcott Non-Stick Titanium Bonded® scissors and Shurtech Duck Tape®! Additional featured materials available to contestants include: FloraCraft "Make It Fun" Foam, VELCRO® Brand Fasteners, Blumenthal Lansing Buttons, The Beadery Beads, feathers, gemstones and more! Each segment winner receives a Westcott & Shurtech Gift Basket valued at $200 retail and the Grand Prize winner, judged on Sunday will win $1,000.00 cash from Westcott & Shurtech! The overall Grand Prize winner will selected by a panel of accredited judges including Modern Surrealist Marisa Pawelko who will also be leading Duck Tape Crafts make-n-takes throughout the show!
